The weather is amazing today! Clear blue skies and bright sunshine. It makes me want to fly away to a secluded beach…not to mention I know I could use a little bit of Vitamin D and this weekend would be perfect for that. I have been in vacation mode for the past 3-4 weeks. I can’t stop thinking about places I want to go before our lives are blessed with our first little baby girl! Here are a couple of the places I wish I could click my heels together and magically appear…today!
My first choice and favorite place to visit…….
Watercolor, Florida
For seven years I lived just down the road from this incredible vacation town. Nestled along the beach right next to Seaside, FL; Watercolor is hands down a place I could not only visit but call home. Nature trails, white sand, crystal clear turquoise water, incredible restaurants and friendly, down to earth people are among a few of the things I love about this little gem along the Gulf Coast. If you haven’t ever been to the little towns along the Florida coast you are missing out. Many people have never heard of this part of Florida. I promise while you are there you will feel like you are in some other tropical island. Every time my husband and I try and think of somewhere to go for vacation we always want to go back to Florida! If you are headed there anytime soon e-mail me (meadow@meadowboutique.com) and I would love to give restaurant suggestions…..I have so many you would have to stay for at least three weeks to get to all of them.

La Casa que Canta (Zihuatanejo, Mexico)
La Casa que Canta is one of my families favorite places. I can’t say that I have ever been, but many days I picture myself watching the sunset in this pool. I have heard so many stories and seen so many pictures that I feel like I know the staff at this boutique hotel. A quick flight into Ixtapa and a connection or drive to Zihuatanejo! Pretty easy travel considering what you get when you get there! Someday we will make it there and have stories of our own to tell you.
