Many of you have already met Courtney here at the store….I thought it was time to introduce her to all of our other fans out there! I can say without hesitation that Courtney is the best employee I could have ever imagined being so lucky to find. She is stylish, artistic, sophisticated, hilarious, charming and dedicated…..what’s not to love!

Courtney’s Q&A…..
Why did you want to work at Meadow?
I had been in the store once or twice after it first opened, and I was immediately impressed! I was really drawn to the variety of merchandise- you could find everything from casual tees to evening gowns, from basics to statement pieces. I have always been interested in fashion, and so after I graduated I decided to shoot Susanna an email to see about available opportunities! Working at a store like Meadow sounded like it would be right up my ally. I have had such a great experience so far, and I’ve learned a lot about the retail business.
What best describes your personal style?
I would say that my style is pretty eclectic and bohemian. I like to mix and match vintage inspired pieces with more contemporary things. I love bold patterns and colors! And you will never find me without a pair of giant earrings on…
Who is you favorite designer here at the store?
Tucker is my favorite! Their stuff is so easy to wear and all of the patterns and prints they use are so unique and have a great retro feel. I think I wear my purple tucker mini dress at least once a week- it’s so comfy.
Where did you go to college?
I’m a longhorn- I graduated from UT Austin in 2009 with a degree in Art History.
Favorite music?
I think I was born in the wrong era- I love all of the folk rock that came out of the late 60′s and early 70′s. Neil Young is one of my favorites, and I love Joni Mitchell. I also love soul music from that period- like Al Green and Marvin Gaye!
What is your favorite thing about working at Meadow?
Hands down, working with the customers is my favorite part. I have met so many wonderful people through the store. I really love helping shoppers put outfits together and answering all of their fashion questions. It’s so much fun! And I love merchandising- I would have never thought that dressing and accessorizing mannequins could be such a blast!
Tell us something interesting about yourself…..
I paint pet portraits! It all started my freshman year of highschool when I did a painting of my aunt’s chihuahua, Pokey. Ever since, I have been getting commissions from family members and friends. I think I’ve done somewhere close to 25 portraits. I’ve painted labs, mixed breeds, shelties, terriers, etc. My painting style reflects my fashion sense: I like to use bold, funky colors and expressive lines.
