DIANE VON FURSTENBERG….
An insanely talented designer for all ages; most known for her infamous wrap dress is now available at MEADOW! We are carrying her fabulous clothes and in addition to that we have several of her handbags in from her Spring collection. I must say I could see myself carrying all of them. I am extremely picky about my personal handbag collection. These bags are so intricate and unique that I am not sure I would be able to settle for just one…..what do you think?

The weather is amazing today! Clear blue skies and bright sunshine. It makes me want to fly away to a secluded beach…not to mention I know I could use a little bit of Vitamin D and this weekend would be perfect for that. I have been in vacation mode for the past 3-4 weeks. I can’t stop thinking about places I want to go before our lives are blessed with our first little baby girl! Here are a couple of the places I wish I could click my heels together and magically appear…today!
My first choice and favorite place to visit…….
Watercolor, Florida
For seven years I lived just down the road from this incredible vacation town. Nestled along the beach right next to Seaside, FL; Watercolor is hands down a place I could not only visit but call home. Nature trails, white sand, crystal clear turquoise water, incredible restaurants and friendly, down to earth people are among a few of the things I love about this little gem along the Gulf Coast. If you haven’t ever been to the little towns along the Florida coast you are missing out. Many people have never heard of this part of Florida. I promise while you are there you will feel like you are in some other tropical island. Every time my husband and I try and think of somewhere to go for vacation we always want to go back to Florida! If you are headed there anytime soon e-mail me (meadow@meadowboutique.com) and I would love to give restaurant suggestions…..I have so many you would have to stay for at least three weeks to get to all of them.
Runner up….
La Casa que Canta (Zihuatanejo, Mexico)
La Casa que Canta is one of my families favorite places. I can’t say that I have ever been, but many days I picture myself watching the sunset in this pool. I have heard so many stories and seen so many pictures that I feel like I know the staff at this boutique hotel. A quick flight into Ixtapa and a connection or drive to Zihuatanejo! Pretty easy travel considering what you get when you get there! Someday we will make it there and have stories of our own to tell you.

And the Oscar goes to…..
While I do like seeing the Big Screen hits of the year, I must admit that my favorite part about the Academy Awards is the Hollywood glamour. This year some of the designers seemed to think the bigger the better, with elaborate full skirts and trains. However, after seeing a dozen dresses with similar silhouettes in a variety of colors it was hard to distinguish one from the other. I personally always like the timeless chic looks over the trends. One of my favorite designers is Lauren Moffatt! Not only does she create the most wearable pieces and looks…..but they all have the perfect amount of flair! I am also partial to her designs after having met her & her business partner (and family!). They are a great team and have the most creative energy I have seen in a showroom/design studio ever! Regardless of the line’s fame, Lauren meets and greets just about every customer at market and in the showroom….making the line that much more real.

This is just a peak at what is to come for the rest of Spring. Every month we will be getting a new delivery from L.Moffatt and each one is adorable! We will post more next month.

I am so excited about this new line of handbags – BEIRN -that just came in yesterday! I found this line at Henri Bendel’s a while back and LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
Beirn launched their line back in 2007 with their famous Jenna bag which has been featured in magazines, movies and the nations most high-end department stores.
Each piece in the BEIRN collection incorporates the signature watersnake material in an array of vibrant and classic shades. Many of the bags feature the original markings of the watersnake creating an authentic and luxurious look at an incredible price point.
Above is just a sample of a few pieces we just received. We also have great make-up cases and small zipper cluthes. If you are familiar with the line and looking for a specific piece we are happy to special order anything you need.
